Three million women are living with breast cancer, and one third of them don’t even know it. Even more startling, breast cancer kills approximately one woman every 13 minutes, robbing us of our mothers, grandmothers, daughters, sisters and our best friends. No one knows the cause of breast cancer or how it can be prevented. Currently, there is no cure.
The Boobie Brigade is a group of ladies from the Kingwood/ Atascotia/ Lake Houston area, who have worked hard for 4 years to raise over $50,000 to donate to breast cancer research in Houston.
On October 17, 2012, the Houston Chapter of NACE and Boobie Brigade will join forces to raise money for the Boobie Brigade’s fundraising efforts to participate in the annual 2 day 39.3 mile AVON Walk for Breast Cancer in Houston. Proceeds from the Houston walk will be donated to research done right here in our great city.
With so many affected by breast cancer, NACE Houston is committed to this partnership and community service efforts to raise awareness of breast cancer and assist monetarily with the valuable ongoing research to save the lives of our loved ones.
Be sure to think pink when getting dressed for this event and be ready to hear some inspirational stories from those who breast cancer has touched. Cash and check donations will be accepted and given directly to the Boobie Brigade.
